Huacachina is a small oasis in the middle of the desert: it has a lagoon surrounded by palm trees, eucalyptus, among others, food, small stores and lodging for those who want to spend the night in the middle of that paradise.

Huaraz is a city in Ancash. It’s 3052 meters above sea level and a place I recommend spending at least a week: two or three days to acclimatize without doing demanding activities and the rest to venture in the beauty of nature. In the search for attractions (I love mountains and hiking)), I found a small company that offered tours at a good price (you will realize that Peru is a very cheap country, at least much cheaper than Costa Rica and for some activities, a guide is a must).

The impressive dunes, textures of sand and colorful sunsets painting the sky, the snow on the mountains taking over of the landscape and the clouds so close to the earth creating a sense of unreality. I must admit that Peru was never on my bucket list but I fell so in love, that after two years of my first visit, I returned.
