Located in the south of the Indochina Peninsula, Cambodia is a very particular kingdom of Southeast Asia. The first thing that comes to mind is the famous Angkor Wat temple: such is the importance of this monument that its silhouette appears as the main element in the flag of the country.

I know I’m not the only one in the world who suffers panic and anxiety attacks during a flight and this can be embarrassing and uncomfortable. It has taken me several trips to control this and sometimes my efforts are not enough. I’m not an expert on this matter but I can tell you the things I’ve done that have helped me a lot.

Undoubtedly Japan is a country wrapped in magic and particular mysticism, especially for visitors from Western countries. Every aspect of their culture that we’ve been able to perceive through cinema, literature, music, technology and anime has generated an image of Japan that makes it one of the bucket list destinations. Seeing it in photographs is one thing but living it is another: experiencing the difficulties of being in contact for the first time in such a different culture. So I took the time and put together this little list of tips to visit Japan with some stories of things that happened to us along the way:

Hostels are cheap alternatives for backpackers or travelers like me. They have diverse environments: from very quiet to partiers, interesting decorations and can be either very dirty or clean. In general, rooms and bathrooms are shared, but there are also some that offer rooms and private bathrooms. Here I have summarized a bit the pros and cons of the hostels that I have discovered throughout my travels.
